Overview:

The Cisco IOS DHCP feature can be configured with a few optional, but recommended, commands including TFTP, DNS and Default Gateway.

 

Study Notes:

  • The Cisco IOS DHCP feature can be configured with a few optional, but recommended, commands including TFTP, DNS and Default Gateway IP address.
  • The TFTP option 150 is used to identify an external server that will be used to store the DHCP bindings database.
  • The DNS setting is used to identify the ip address of the DNS server on the network.
  • The gateway option is used to define a default-gateway for the clients.
