Hi, I'm Joe Barger (CCNP/CCDP), the guy behind eConfigs. Thank you for visiting the site in your quest for the CCNA. Getting certified is tough. When I got out of the military in 2004 I wanted to get my CCNA and land a really great job. I had no money so I self studied and it took me a couple of attempts to pass the CCNA. Since then I've landed great jobs, attended bootcamps and other training, passed over 25 certification exams and attained 16 different Cisco certifications. This has definitely taught me how to prepare for Cisco exams and get results in the real world. Knowing many of you are in the same position that I was starting out, I want to give you the head start I didn't have by giving away my free, common sense study notes and my very affordable labs. But more than that I want to help you land a great job too. Become the best pre-sales and post-sales engineer possible through additional focused training. Get access to the largest configuration repository in the world. Grow your company efficiently and effectively. I want to help you do all these things because I didn't have that when I was going through the process and it was a bumpy ride.
Currently I have a CCNA, CCDA, CCNP and CCDP, but here's a full list of Cisco certifications that I've achieved since I first passed the CCNA in 2005.
- CCNA
- CCNP
- CCDA
- CCDP
- Quality of Service
- Cisco IP Telephony Express Specialist
- Cisco IP Communications Express Specialist
- Cisco Express Foundation Field Specialist
- Smart Business Communications Engineer
- Smart Business Communcations System Account Manager
- Cisco Wireless LAN Support Specialist
- Cisco Wireless LAN Design Specialist
- Wireless LAN for Field Engineers
- Cisco SmartCare
- Small Medium Business Account Manager
- Small Medium Business Engineer
After passing that many certifications you tend to learn a thing or two. One thing I learned is that the exams are difficult to pass. The other thing I learned is there's a lot of unqualified people out there talking about Cisco certifications and they've never even passed one. With me you get experience. That experience tells me that if I can do it then you can do it too. I want to help you achieve the CCNA. I have found that if you have the right books, study notes and configuration labs then you're well on your way to passing the exam. But most of all it comes down to whether you want it or not. If you're serious about getting certified than I want to help you achieve your goals. Join me and let's do it together.
Best of luck to you!
- Joe Barger (CCNP/CCDP)
